# The research reading list

> Reading list | Seaview Aesthetics — The Seaview Aesthetics reading list brings together published studies and reviews on GHK-Cu, collagen, skin penetration and cosmetic outcomes.

The useful connections run between the papers: cell activity, physical delivery and visible outcomes each ask something different of the evidence.

## Culture work and tissue remodelling

The [fibroblast collagen-synthesis experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3169264/) is the most contained starting point: a defined culture system and a result about collagen production with cell number accounted for. Beside it, the [tissue-remodelling review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18644225/) offers a much broader view across studied systems. Their difference in scale is a useful tension.

## Topical formulations

The [prepared-human-skin penetration experiment](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3016279/) gives the barrier discussion a concrete measurement. The [topical GHK review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11830136/) connects the delivery problem to the cosmetic question. The [skin-regeneration review](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4508379/) gathers clinical and laboratory findings that are useful to compare with that more recent discussion.

## The molecular account

The [review of GHK and gene data](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6073405/) supplies the broad molecular view. My particular interest is its reported expression-change threshold: it is essential to interpreting the size of the claim.
